Tea Oil is produced from the flower seeds of Camellia Oleifera
and Phase 5 only collects seeds from plants grown in the remote
mountainous regions of southern China allowing our product
to be certified with organic status accredited by IFOAM. The
outstanding nutritional benefits of Phase 5 Camellia Tea Oil
serves to demonstrate the value of plants grown in their natural
environment and simultaneously supporting sustainable farming.
Tea Oil is the universal name for this renowned cooking oil
and is not to be confused with the tea used in beverages.
Tea Oil is pressed from the seeds of Camellia Oleifera, whereas
the dried leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant are used in
black, green, jasmine and oolong teas.
The English word 'tea' is derived from the Chinese character,
pronounced as tê in the Min Nan dialect and encompasses
the variety of Camellia species grown throughout Asia.
